Well, as of today, I have decided to explain my name and a few things about myself. The name, first of all: Deathknights, as some of you may know, are a combination of a Paladin (holy warrior driven to serve justice and promote peace), and a Necromancer (crafty, evil, and hell-bent on ruling the world by raising armies of reanimated corpses). Such a contrast is the epitome of human psychology, the worst and best in all of us. It embodies the constant struggle, no matter how unnoticeable, of morality and immorality in our lives. I plan to touch up this explanation at a later time, but this is my basic idea. -End of Entry 1-

Hey,
When you get a chance can you take a look at a wall I am working on?

Any feedback would be most appreciated.

Thanks so much for you comment on my Tails wall, I am glad you like it.
I had been working on that one, plus the Hayner wall for some time, it just took me awhile to re-tweak them and send them through session zero (that is why it looks like i made 2 walls in 1 week).
They were both months-old works-in-progress.
Oh, and Happy Halloween, DeathKnight!
Hope you enjoyed the holiday.
I seem to have immense reserves of candy left over, mmm...

Ooh yay, you're online! but imma bit late, i guess. thanks for liking my latest wall ^^ i really appreciate it. btw it's for me besties and he said it's a superb wallpaper. ah really make my day...
DeathKnightAs always, your works are outstanding! I love how you made Enma look, so smooth and relaxed... you wouldn't ever think of her as Hell girl. Beautiful wall, +Fav, and good job with the shadows, they tend to be hard to angle over someone's back, and most people usually make leave them slightly off. By the way, have you noticed that in Bleach those types of Monarch butterflies are called Hell butterflies?? Just a coincidence, I'm sure.emoticon P.S.-Why didn't you keep the flower shadows? Ah well, it does show her back better this way. Lookin' forward to the next one!
Thank you so much! ^_^ Well, I decided to get rid of the flower shadows because they did kind of look a little strange and if I hadn't said they were flower shadows, I think some people might not have known what they were supposed to be. But I think having just the window bars' shadows are sufficient. I did not know that about the Bleach butterflies. XD I haven't seen the anime, only a few episodes when it first came out. :o Thanks so much for your comment and fave! And I'm sorry I haven't replied yet to your PM, I will, I keep procrastinating... ._.'
DeathKnightA little more feminine than you\'re used to, Mr. Enma Ai waller? As always, wonderful, wonderful job. Sometimes the best walls can\'t be described... +Fav, Kudos to you!
Hehe, well the colors are a little feminine I guess. I usually work with darker colors since Enma Ai is Hell Girl after all... :o
DeathKnightLike it? I love it! You are definitely the number one waller for Enma Ai. The whole wall comes together perfectly and flows, a hard thing to do considering the \"hairy\" situation you were in dealing with the scan of Enma\'s head (get it?... never mind, that was a horrible joke). +Fav, and Kudos to you! Wonderful work, but I\'m sure I don\'t have to tell you that.
Thank you so much! I think I\'m one of the only Ai-chan wallers to tell you the truth. It is unfortunate, but true... :o Hopefully the new season will bring new scans and more people will make some walls for JS. Haha, yes, it was a hairy situation indeed! XD No, that was good, I laughed. :P Hair like that has it\'s ups and downs. It\'s easy because it\'s all black and you don\'t need to outline it and you don\'t have to do shadows/highlights, but it\'s hard because it\'s all over the place!! lol.
Thanks again for your comments, I really appreciate them a lot!

I\'m glad to hear you are going to make a wallpaper soon! I just wanted to show you my first two photoshop disasters. 1 2 We all have to start somewhere. ^_^\' Just keep practicing and you\'ll do great. :)
I got a BIGGIE SIZE OF MY WALLPAPER NOW ^_^
Hello!
Thanks a for the comment and fav on my "Beauty Alien"wallpaper. I glad you like it.

I'm a little tired now, so I will do the rest soon. ^_^' And I know I'm not the greatest at explaining things, so bear with me. XD
Part 1:

This was copied from something I wrote for someone awhile ago.
Using Intersect Layer Transparency:

And I'm sorry, but I remember something was wrong with my Imageshack account so I had to switch to my Photobucket account.

As you can see, you can still make shapes using the paths method. And when you finish your path, you can right click and go to Fill Path. Or you can go to make selection, and then feather it if you want.
I believe in the pictures I show how to use the Intersect with Selection option. That is really useful when vectoring. For instance, if you are doing large areas, you can go outside of your vector (presuming you already have a base shape like the face for example). Then you would go Make Selection, and choose Intersect with Selection. It will only select the overlapping areas. I can't really explain it that well, but I'm sure once you try it, you'll understand what I mean. And always remember to save your paths just in case you ever want to go back and edit them. To do that, you go to the Paths menu by the Layers menu and you'll see a New Path button at the bottom. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that when you start a new document, you need to create your first path manually or by default, Photoshop will make the path a "Work Path" which will eventually get deleted. Also, when you do the Make Selection option, you need to make a new path after or that one will get deleted too.
In the pictures I used Intersecting to do the following:
Once you make a base shape (in the picture it is part of the hat), you would intersect the hat shading with the hat base shape. So after you make the path for the shading. You right click on the thumbnail on the the hat shape layer and select "Select Layer Transparency." That will make the marquee around the shape so you will see where the stuff will intersect.
Don't worry, it's really not as hard as it may seem. Pretty soon, you'll be doing crazy lineart like this O_O (was a bitch to do...)

No problem. I\'ll start making a tutorial. Though I have to warn you...most people use shape layers for vectoring. But I\'m old fashioned and make my shapes out of Paths...so it takes more steps and junk. XD
DeathknightHey, I love your walls. Can you tell me how you made the most recent ones? I'd really appreciate it, but I understand if you don't want to or don't have the time. Either way, I just have to say great work again. See ya!

I'm so glad you like them! I'd be happy to give a tutorial on these wallpapers. First off, I have to ask, are you familiar with vectoring? If not, I can go into further detail on how to do that.
DeathKnightHah! First comment! Well, I guess I got my wish after just commenting on your last wall. Another wonder from you, two in one day!! This is one more of the best I've ever seen, and there's not much different to say from the comment on your other wall. Simple, calming and stylish. Kudos to you! Hope to see more like it. +FAV
XD Lol. Dreams really do come true! O_o Dang...there is a third one, but I haven't finished it yet.
Well, thank you very much for both of the kind comments, they were much appreciated.

See you later.
